Learn the International Style Latin American dances that are danced all over the world - Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, & Paso Doble Starting with the fundamentals, Suzie teaches the figures, their technique, and the reason behind their techniques.
We will learn figures from the I.S.T.D. syllabus each week, with their proper techniques and review how they can be put together on the dance floor.
All will learn both leader and follower parts to completely understand how a dance partnership works through movement. Video summaries and syllabus notes will be provided to facilitate retention throughout the course.

Suzie Hardt is author of ballroom books Social Dance Made Simple and Moving as Two: A Guide to Ballroom Dancers. She holds her dance teaching accreditation as an Associate with the world renowned the United States Imperial Society of Teacher's of Dancing (U.S I.S.T.D), Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, (I.S.T.D). and the American International Dance Association (A.I.D.A), as well as bachelors degrees from Rice University. She is the founder of Hidden City Ballroom, Suzie's Studio, The Wedding Choreographer, and A Tall Order Dance Entertainment.
Suzie is a 4x United States 10 dance Ballroom and Latin Champion with husband and dance partner Todd Marsden, with whom she represented the U.S. at the 10 Dance World Championships for the Senior 1 Division in Mallorca, Spain, Antwerp, Belgium and Toronto, Canada. The duo has performed often throughout the Bay Area, as well as with the St. Louis Symphony, Grammy Award winning composer Victor Vanacore, and on America's Got Talent, Season 8 in New York City. Their audiences include Google, Kaiser, LinkedIn, Intuit, De Young and Blackhawk Museums, San Francisco City Hall, the Sausalito Arts Festival, Mondavi, St. Supery wineries, and TanzSportTrainerVereinigung and many other private, corporate and non-profit organizations.
