East Coast Swing is a great first dance to learn for beginners of all ages! This versatile 50s dance can be danced to live music in clubs around town, & weddings. Great music, excellent teacher, come jitterbug with us! NO DANCE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Come One, Come All! We switch partners in class, so come bring a friend or come solo. All are welcome! |
About Instructor Nicholas Tapia
Instructor Nicholas Tapia has been teaching dance professionally since 2009. He started instructing ballroom, transitioned to Argentine Tango (won the US Championships), then stumbled into swing where he ended up winning a few Lindy and Shag competitions and coaching a team along the way. After a pandemic detour into other projects and then some world traveling, he’s back to dancing, diving deep into Balboa while still teaching Shag and Tango in places like Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Germany, and California.
He believes partner dancing is one of the best things a person can do for themselves and their community.
