Learn the stylish, gliding style of the American style of ballroom dancing. This class will teach you how to transition between traditional ballroom movement to steps danced in open positions. Beginner friendly, and a strong reinforcement for more experienced dancers.
Review from Student of 5 years:
"I've been taking classes and private Ballroom, Latin, & Smooth lessons from Christian for over 5 years and he’s by far my favorite teacher. His knowledge of technique is detailed and complete yet it’s organized organically and feels much more natural then prior to working with him. He’s amazing at dialing in to who you are as a person and working toward whatever your dance aspirations may be. And he was immensely helpful and diplomatic in reducing tensions between my dance partner and myself!"
Taking the Ballroom Fundamentals Class first is recommended but not required — the American Smooth movement is based off of the classic International Ballroom style.

About the instructor, Christian Solares:
I am a professional ballroom dancer, teacher and choreographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. My training in American Smooth, Standard, and Latin provide me with a well-rounded skillset in Ballroom Dancing.
I coach with world-class coaches in each of these styles to improve my own dancing, and stay in tune with the latest dancing insights. I combine my knowledge of ballroom technique and body mechanics to sharpen the skill of dancers I work with.
I am attentive to the individuality of each person, understanding that each dancer has their distinct vision and process. I aspire to elevate student confidence and coordination both on and off the floor. I believe that movement is essential for a strong mind-body connection.
When I take my dance shoes off, I can be found trail running, weightlifting, on the Peloton bike, or on a yoga mat!
